Guess where we are today...

This week Paul and I have found ourselves on the other side of the Pacific Ocean!
It was a very long flight but we have arrived safely at the International Quilt Market and Festival.
Somerset Patchwork had a booth in
... at the George R Brown centre, downtown Houston.
The quilt show takes up the entire building, there is about one third of the complex showing in this photo
... the streets are decorated with lots of banners announcing the event.
Even the building was decorated with quilts!
Look what else we found when we took an early peek at the quilts...
'Best of Friends' by our very own Linda Bear... It looked fantastic hanging in such an amazing venue.
Mrs Billings came for a visit too! This one belongs to Patricia Schremmer from 'Stitching Traditions' Topeka KS.

And at the end of a long show... some rest and relaxation, off for a swim now!

Until next time,

  2. Thankyou for posting a pic of my quilt. It's hard not to worry about "your baby' when it's so far from home. It's good to know that it hangs straight and looked clean!!
The Topeka Mrs Billings looks amazing too; interesting to see the different interpretations
looking forward to seeing you in Adelaide
