This weekend has been very busy here in Melbourne.
Linda from Quilts in the Barn hosted a stunning 'Red and White' display featuring quilts made by local quilters with a selection of wonderful antique quilts from the collection of Mary Koval. Unfortunately I left my camera behind and was not able to capture any for your enjoyment ... BUT ... if you visit Sue-anne from Buddy and Me, or Linda herself you will see a very comprehensive list of quilts. My favourite was the appliqued 'serpentine' quilt (third quilt on Sue-anne's blog).
I made a quick visit to see the quilts on Friday morning and returned to the shop for an extended day/evening of stitching with the Friday girls (unfortunately no photos, remember I forgot the camera)!
Saturday Sue and I were finishing up our October Fabric Clearance Sale... and yes there is now some room for the new fabrics that are coming soon. Hopefully they won't be to far away.
And today... well today we had our Applique group - sewing at the shop,
but guess what ... I took the camera but forgot to get it out!!!

I thought you might like to see some of the sites I like to visit...
This gorgeous house is from a site called Quilts, Gravestones and Elusive Ancestors have a look at all the houses and other interesting things Barbara has to share... I have only just found this one, but I think I will visit more often!
Do you remember this beautiful floor? The Cosmati Pavement.
It featured recently in the Diamond Jubilee portrait of the Queen
and also the wedding photos from the marriage of Prince William and Katherine.
Visit Little Welsh Quilts for more.
Who else loves 'kitchens'?
This intriguing blog invites us into kitchens and houses from all over the US.
It also includes my all time favourite movie house from 'Somethings gotta give',
don't you just love it!!!
Visit Kitchens I have Loved see what you can find!

And I guess many of you have probably already been to Lucy's blog, Attic 24.
I love to look at the brilliant colours, interesting projects and fantastic photos.
Lucy makes me want to move to the English Countryside every time I visit!
If you haven't looked I know you will enjoy it!
