Its been a little while since we have had some show and tell from the shop, so I thought you might like to see what we got up to today in class!
Mrs Billings stitched by Sue, this is such a lovely lighter/brighter version than mine.
Joan is working on Lucy Boston, also known as Patchwork of the Crosses, have a look at Linda Franz website if you are looking for a copy of her wonderful book. This is the start of a new block...
And another... this one has its borders attached!
Joan completed the next round during the morning... Fantastic fussy cutting!
We also had a couple of deliveries today too! These amazing Yuwa fabrics, mmmm I think I need some of these :)
And......... whats inside these HUGE boxes? Finally, the fabrics for the new Block of the Month!
Borders are on, I took some time out yesterday to quilt and tonight I have attached the binding, just need time to hand stitch it in place! I will try and post a photo of the finished quilt soon.
Back soon,
I have been eagerly awaiting this update. Love the Lucy Boston blocks and the fresher version of Mrs Billings. Thanks for sharing.

I too love your blog but long for the next one each time. The Lucy Boston blocks are a favourite. It is such a rewarding result, no matter what the fabric. Thanks for your blog Karen.
ReplyDeleteAlways a pleasant surpise when I see Lucy Boston blocks! The fabric choices are beautiful. I made suuch a coverlet myself and was very fortunate to see the original one in her old house. It was very nice browsing through your blog after getting your 'adress' from the Quiltmania I love your 'English grandmother garden quilt'. I was able to visit Nantes too, but it must have been very special for you all the way from Australia. I will come back to read your posts.
